Northern Bedford inched by Forbes Road in overtime Saturday during the opening round of District 5-A playoffs. Tanner Henry, goalie, posted six saves in goal for the Cardinals during the 1-0 loss.

McConnellsburg 2

Fannett-Metal managed to score the first three games of last Wednesday’s Sideling Hill League game against the McConnellsburg Spartans, who fell 3-2. The Spartans late-game scoring was from Colby Sowers and David Welsh, who was assisted by Nathan Swope. Goalkeeper Dillan Hollinshead made 12 saves during the match.

Forbes Road picked up a pair of goals following the halftime break last Wednesday for a 2-0 Sideling Hill League win over Southern Fulton. Donovan Bricker and Dillen Burger both had a goal and an assist, while Cardinal goalies Tanner Henry and Nathan Karczewski made one and two saves, respectively, for the shutout. Indians goalkeeper Courtney Strait posted four saves.
