Respiratory Therapy Services Collects Coats For Children In Need

In celebration of National Respiratory Care Week, Fulton County Medical Center Respiratory Services held its second annual coat drive. The department collected more than 40 coats, several hats, gloves and scarves. Donations were given to the three local school districts for those children in need.

As a part of their weeklong celebration, the staff also held a fundraiser for the FCMC Foundation scholarship fund. More than $600 was collected through a raffle, with prizes donated from the following: MJ’s Massage, Whitetail Ski Resort, Great Cove Basket & Gifts, Great Cove Golf & Recreation, Long Acres Alpaca Farm, Lynn Lanehart, Respiratory Therapy Department, Marti Snyder, Lanette Deneen, Joann Chilcote, Melissa Rouzer, Instrument Labs, Dick’s Homecare, Care Plus Oxygen, Judy Shafer and The Flower Basket.

FCMC Respiratory Therapy Services would also like to send a special thank-you to Rosenbaum’s Landscaping and Nursery of Chambersburg, which donated 100 pine tree seedlings for those who donated a coat on Tuesday, October 27.
