Pancake Dinner A pancake dinner will be held Saturday, October 31, at 5 p.m. at Pleasant Union Church, located on Pleasant Union Church Road, Clearville, Pa., to benefit Mike Stuckey. Pancakes, buckwheat cakes, buttermilk pancakes, sausage, ham and pudding, beverages. Call 485-3181.

Soup, Sandwich, Bake Sale A soup, sandwich and bake sale will be held October 31 at Asbury United Methodist Church, 7404 Lincoln Highway, Harrisonville. Served will be ham bean, vegetable beef and chicken corn soup from 10:30 a.m to 2:00 p.m. at the church. Eat-in or takeout steamers and hot dogs and assorted baked goods will be for sale also. Price for soup is $2 for a bowl or $4 per quart. Call to reserve quarts of soup at 987-3280, 485-3886 or 372-5941. Proceeds go to missions.

Thanksgiving Pie Sale The Saint Stephen Family Life Committee is sponsoring an apple and cherry pie sale on Saturday, November 21. The cost of the pie is $7.50 for plain and $8 for crumb. The pies may be picked up after 9:00 a.m. on November 21. To place an order call Sister Margie at 485-5917.

Spaghetti Dinner Saint Stephen Family Life Committe is having an Election Day spaghetti dinner Tuesday, November 3 with lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Takesouts are available.

Food Sale Soup, sandwiches and pie will be for sale at Clear Ridge Community Building on Thursday, October 29, at 4:00 p.m. Last day to order pies is October 22. Call 717-658-6918 or 987-3804.

Pancake Supper Whips Cove Church will hold a pancake supper Saturday, November 7, at 5:00 p.m. Served will be buttermilk pancakes, old-fashioned buckwheat cakes, eggs, pork puddin, sausage, ham, sausage gravy, coffee, hot chocolate and juice. Donations accepted and greatly appreciated.

Spaghetti/Lasagna Dinner Center and Clear Ridge United Methodist churches will be hosting a spaghetti/lasagna dinner at Center Church on Saturday, November 7, starting at 4 p.m. Each meal includes salad ,garlic bread, drink and dessert. Meal is free, but donations are greatly welcomed. All proceeds will benefit the family of Stephen Szwydek, a 20-year-old Marine who lost his life in Iraq on October 20, 2005. Special music will be provided by Walter Bolinger.
