Willard R. Hann

Everett, 78

Willard “Shorty” R. Hann, 78, Everett, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 30, 1930, in Everett, a son of the late Russell A. and Minnie C. (Foor) Hann.

On July 2, 2002, in Wincheseter, Va., he married the former Martha J. Hammond. She survives him, along with the following family: two children: Thelma J. Sweinhart, Wells Tannery; Thomas E. Hann, New Enterprise; stepchildren: Donald Claycomb, married to Vickie, Claysburg; Brenda, married to Butch Comer, West Virginia; Cindy Claycomb, Damascus, Md.; Gloria, married to David Gonsmen, Queen; Marilyn, married to Anthony Lemin, Everett; Mark Claycomb, Claysburg; Barbara, married to Butch Grassmyer, Hollidaysburg; Robert R. Brubaker Jr., married to Sharon, Northeast, Md.; brothers and sisters: Vyonne M., married to Donald Johnson, Everett; Bernard

Butch” F. Hann, married to Barbara (Cappadona), Efland, N.C.; Thomas C. Hann, married to Nancy (Green), Crystal Spring; Mary L., married to Jim Reed, Saxton; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 24 stepgrandchildren and many stepgreat grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by the following brothers and sister: Schrock Hann, Lucymarie Hann and Wilfred Hann; and two stepchildren: William and Zane Claycomb.

He was a member of Rays Cove Christian Church.

He was employed as an electrical lineman for various contractors.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, children, brothers, sisters and his hunting gang.

Funeral services were held Sunday, October 18, at 2:00 p.m., at Rays Cove Christian Church, Breezewood. Rev. M.W. Nesselrodt officiated. Burial was made in Rays Cove Christian Church Cemetery.
