Victor W. Landers Sr.
Victor W. Landers Sr., 90, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Chambersburg Hospital.
Born March 1, 1919, in Hancock, he was the son of the late Joseph Albert Charles and Ida Della Robinson Landers.
He was a graduate of Hancock High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a self-employed farmer all of his life.
He attended Rehobeth United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl Etta Graham Landers, whom he married November 28, 1951, in Oldtown, Md.; two sons: Victor W. Landers Jr. and DeLanie Craig Landers, both of Mercersburg; a sister, Lois Younker, Mercersburg; and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph Landers and Harry Rogers Landers.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 16, at 11:00 a.m., at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock. Rev. Russell Hoffman officiated. Burial was made in Rehobeth United Methodist Cemetery.
