Healthcare activists from national, state and local organizations held a rare meeting in Mc- Connellsburg on Sunday, October 18, as part of the Road to the Rally Tour on its way to Harrisburg for a rally in the Capitol Rotunda in Harrisburg. The Progressive Democrats of America, Healthcare4-allPA.org and the Fulton / Franklin Democratic Club worked together to present a program on the Family and Business Healthcare Security Act, a bill now in the Pennsylvania Legislature. It would provide comprehensive, improved healthcare access for everyone living in Pennsylvania without the need for special social programs or healthcare insurance, while saving billions statewide.

About 40 attendees came from Fulton, Bedford, Franklin, Huntingdon, and Blair counties for the gathering. The panel spoke about comprehensive healthcare legislation in preparation for a rally to be held in Harrisburg in the Capitol Rotunda in support for One Payer Health Care. Most of the attendees plan to be at the rally, taking a chartered bus from Breezewood to join a thousand other rally-goers from across Pennsylvania and surrounding states.
