MH Provider Closes Clinics In Fulton And Franklin Co.

New provider being sought

Community Behavioral Health Network of Pennsylvania (CBHNP) was informed by Northwestern Human Services (NHS), a CBHNP network provider, of its plan to close their South First Street outpatient clinic in McConnellsburg, effective October 1, 2009. NHS indicated it would contact each individual receiving service(s) and will assist in finding alternate providers. After October 1, 2009, NHS will continue to provide medication management for CBHNP members through December 3, 2009, from its Carlisle office. If you have any questions for NHS regarding services (medication needs, etc.), you can contact Jennifer Cox at NHS 717-243-6033, extension 6033. CBHNP provides behavioral health benefits in Fulton County as part of Pennsylvania’s HealthChoices program. Certain residents of Fulton County that have an Access card may qualify to have their behavioral health benefits coordinated by CBHNP.

CBHNP is actively working to establish another mental health outpatient provider in the Fulton County area to ensure residents have local access to needed services. One of CBHNP’s goals during this transition is to ensure coordination and care for members. If a CBHNP member is having difficulty with locating an alternative provider or issues related to the NHS closure, please contact CBHNP at 1-866-773-7917 for assistance. If after contacting the preceding number additional assistance is required please contact Steve Nevada, CBHNP Franklin/Fulton program manager, at 717-263-8723. CBHNP will continue to keep the public informed regarding the development of new service providers.
