Cowboys Sweep Home Games
Fulton County Blue hosted SH Green in the first game of a home double-header at Lions Club Park this weekend. The Blue Cowboys returned to their winning ways, scoring early and often on their way to a 50-0 win.
Bryce Kylor opened the scoring with a 50-yard run on the first play of the game. Shane Schepis and Landon Seiders each added two touchdowns, while Kolby Brown, Branden Shippy and Lucas Folkowsky each punched one in for the Cowboys.
The win raises the Blue Cowboys’ record to 4-3, setting up an important final regular season game with playoff implications next Sunday. Blue travels to Saltillo to face SH White.
FC Silver hosted SH White in the second game of the doubleheader, and pulled off a thrilling last-minute win. White jumped out to a 19-0 lead before Silver crossed the goal line on a long run by Reese Gearhart. Gearhart added a touchdown reception from Grayson Hall, setting the halftime score at 25-12.
Silver’s defense pitched a shutout in the second half, allowing them to chip away at the White lead. While the defense held SH White without a first down, Kole Kendall caught a touchdown pass from Hall, and Reese Gearhart ran for his third score of the game, to bring the score to 25-24. Silver took the ball following a White punt with just over two minutes remaining and marched down the field, capping their drive with another Hall-to- Kendall touchdown pass with 20 seconds on the clock. White was unable to move the ball in two plays, and Silver took the nailbiting 30-25 win. The victory raises the Silver record to 2-4 on the season. Their final regular season game is next Sunday versus SH Gray at Saltillo.
