Former Resident Harvests Alligator

A former Fulton Countian recently harvested a 500-pound bull alligator near his home in Melbourne, Fla. Peter Morton took the alligator at 2:30 a.m. on October 3 using a cross-bow with a heavy duty line attached to the arrow while riding in an airboat. He caught an additional 300-pound gater the very same evening, but he notes the 500-pounder was his 18th alligator and the largest taken to date.
