Immanuel Bible Church hosted a fall festival on Sunday evening, filling four wagons with riders. After the hayride, participants enjoyed homemade bean soup, ice cream, etc.

Roger and Pat Ramsey attended the Fall Carlisle Car Show on Thursday. On the way home, they stopped to visit grandson Micah, and of course, Brian and Emily Ramsey.

Walnut Grove Church of God held four nights of revival services with Pastor Bill Wollett as the guest speaker.

Last Sunday, Kathy Bakner and Jeff Smith of South Mountain visited Roger and Pat Ramsey.

Tom and Mamie Streightiff recently attended a one-year birthday party for Ella Jo Young, daughter of Shawn and Cody Young.

Visiting recently with Steve, Karen, Terri and Tammy Grissinger were Donna Locke, Amanda Yocum, Nora Grissinger, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Becca and Brent Carlson, Travis Madden, and Buzz and Bea Covert.

Visiting last Sunday evening with the Grissingers were Mike, Chris and Kevin Pintozzi, and Henry Lovett of Langhorne.

Special birthday wishes to Madison Hoover, daughter of Jody and Tawna Hoover of Sinoquipe Road. Madison turned 8 years old on October 5 and celebrated with an outside party on Sunday afternoon with grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and school friends. She is the granddaughter of Clark and Dixie Hoover and Bill and Judy Kline.

A basket bingo for Relay For Life Ridge Runners will be held on October 25 at the Shade Gap Auxiliary Building. Early purchased tickets get an extra “special” card to play.

Three Springs Volunteer Fire Co. will be having a chicken barbecue on October 18 beginning at 11 a.m.

Shooting matches began at the Hustontown Firehall on October 3 at 1 p.m and will continue every Saturday until further notice. This year a five-round shoot for youths will be held after the regular shoot. Shooters must be 16 years and under to participate and be accompanied by parent or guardian.

A pie and soup sale is scheduled at the Clear Ridge Community Building for October 29.
