Pa. Man Turns Self In To Face Murder-By-Car Charge
PHILADELPHIA (AP) – A North Philadelphia man has turned himself in to face a charge of intentionally driving over a woman, killing her.
Authorities say 23-year-old Duane Crump got into an argument with the woman and three of her friends as they were leaving the 22nd Street Cafe in South Philadelphia a week ago.
Homicide Capt. James Clark says Crump aimed his vehicle at the women, hitting 22-yearold Kamilah El-Amin and one of her friends, and then backed up to hit them again. He was charged with aggravated assault and driving under the influence, but a murder charge was added after El-Amin died Monday at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Delaware County.
Clark says Crump and El- Amin may have known each other but that the motive for the attack remains unclear.
