James F. Johnson, 64, longtime resident of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of McConnellsburg, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009.

Born February 4, 1945, he was the son of the late Cloyd L. Johnson and Faye (Dickinson) Johnson.

Surviving are his wife, Roxanne (Sunday) Johnson, Las Vegas; children: Roxie Johnson, Everett, and Pam Rhodes, West Virginia; stepchildren: Lorie (Berardi) Padolak, Johnstown, and M. Joseph Berardi, Las Vegas; goddaughter, Allajziah Davis, Las Vegas; grandchildren: Sadie Rhodes, Nicholas Padolak, David Michael Podolak, Olivia Berardi and Isabella Berardi; siblings: Larry (husband of Apalonia "Lonnie") Johnson, Wells Tannery; Carol (wife of Robert R.) Layton; Peggy (wife of Greg) Schrieber, Clearfield; Andrew (husband of Vicky) Johnson, Wells Tannery; Randall L. (husband of Lori) Johnson, Martinsburg, Pa.; Debra Brown, Bedford; and Barbara (wife of Rod) Diehl, Bedford.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin P. Johnson.
