FR Elementary Program To Create A Bully-Free Environment


Forbes Road Elementary School hosted "The Bully-Free Amazing Wonder Show" assembly program on September 14, 2009. The program used comedy, magic and audience participation to present a motivational anti-bullying message. It was presented by Chris "Doc" Dixon of Bullyfreeschools.com, North America's #1 bullying prevention program. The company is based in Smithton, Pa. His programs have been seen by more than 500,000 students. He has twice preformed for the First Family at the White House. The lessons the students learned in the program included what bullying is and why it is wrong, how to react to bullies and how to be a better friend. The students also learned the Four S.T.A.R. Steps to take when they encounter bullying. These points were illustrated with comedy, audience participation and magic that made the learning fun and more involved.
