HALIFAX, Pa. (AP) - A headon collision in central Pennsylvania has claimed the lives of two drivers and injured several other people.

State police say 45-year-old Joe Wingert Jr. of Dalmatia was heading south on Route 147 in Halifax Township, Dauphin County when his sport utility vehicle crossed the center line and ran into the SUV driven by 60- year-old David Troutman of Halifax. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene of the 8:40 p.m. Thursday crash.

Police say 42-year-old Melanie Wingert was taken to Hershey Medical Center, where she was listed in fair condition Saturday. Three juveniles were also taken to the hospital, but there has been no word on their conditions.
