Bake/Yard/Craft Sale Warfordsburg Senior Center will be having a bake/yard/craft sale on October 15 and 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., during the Fulton Fall Folk Festival. Outside space will be available for $5. More information may be obtained by calling 294-6020.

Trap Shoots Fulton County Rifle and Pistol Club wish to invite the public to practice trap shoots every Friday night until November 20 and trap shoots at noon the third Sunday of every month from now until the end of the year.

Line Dance Fulton County Line Dance Club will hold line dance sessions every Wednesday (except the first Wednesday of the month) beginning at 7:00 p.m. at VFW Post 655, Poplar Street, McConnellsburg. All are welcome. Come and learn some new steps. A $2 donation is appreciated.

Dodgeball Tournament A dodgeball tournament will be held Saturday, September 26, at McConnellsburg Alumni Community Center. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. and games will start at 10:00 a.m. Any questions, please call Kathy J. Kendall at 485-0221.

Cove Mills Harvest Reunion Cove Mills Harvest Reunion will be held September 25, 26 and 27 at Wilkins Farm and Home Supply, Rt. 484 west, Warfordsburg. There will be demos of threshing grain, baling straw, crushing, stone, etc. Also steam engines, antique, restored and unrestored tractors, hit and miss engines, old machinery, antique horse-drawn hearse and genuine Wells Fargo stage coach, tractor parade and more. Southern Fulton band will lead parade on Saturday. Breakfast will be served on Friday and Saturday. Apple butter boil, cider making, food venders, flea market, arts and crafts. Bluegrass, gospel and country music will be held Friday and Saturday evening. Old-time church services under the tent will be Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The show starts at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Sponsored by Cove Mills Old Time Farm Machinery Assoc. Open Stage Hustontown Fire Co. will hold an open stage Saturday, September 26, at 6:00 p.m. The kitchen begins at 5:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come out and share talent. Smoke-free and air-conditioned facility.

Pike-To-Bike Ride The Fulton County Parks and Recreation will be holding its fall Pike-To-Bike ride on the abandoned turnpike October 4 at 2:00 p.m. (no raindate). Riders should bring a flashlight and meet at the Pump Station Road, Hustontown, entrance to be led on a leisurely eight-mile ride through the Sideling Hill Tunnel. Ride will include historical information on the area and turnpike as well as wildlife information. Preregistration is not required but appreciated! This event is free, but donations are welcome. Senior Center Activities McConnellsburg Senior Center activities for the month are as follows: blood pressure screening, 11:00 a.m. - October 1; nickel bingo, 10:00 a.m. - October 2, 5, 9, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26 and 28; trip to Shanksville, 8:00 a.m. - October 6; lunch at Mountain Gate, Waynesboro, 10:00 a.m. - October 8; Altoona mall shopping, 8:00 a.m. - October 14; nutrition/craft class, 1:00 p.m. - October 15; lunch at Roadkill Restaurant, 10:00 a.m. - October 20; hip/knee pain and diabetic support group, 10:00 a.m. - October 22; lunch at Golden Corral, Waynesboro, 10:00 a.m. - October 27; dime bingo, 10:00 a.m - October 30. You must sign up for all trips two days before the trip date.

Library Open House All are invited to Fulton County Library's ribbon cutting and open house on Saturday, September 26. The ribbon cutting will be held at 1:00 p.m., followed by an open house from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please plan to attend and help celebrate the completion of the library's renovation and expansion project.

Shooting Matches Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor shooting matches beginning Saturday, October 3, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Also there will be a five-round youth shoot after the regular shoot. For youth shoot, age limit is 16 years old and under. Youths must be accompanied by parent or guardian. Assorted meat prizes will be given.

Christmas Auction Fulton County Community Christian School will hold its annual Christmas dinner and auction Saturday, November 14, at Hustontown Firehall. CROP Hunger Walk Help fight hunger and poverty all over the world! The 2009 Fulton County CROP Hunger Walk will be held at Cowans Gap State Park on Sunday, October 4, at 2:00 p.m. Take part by asking your friends and family to sponsor you and walk in the CROP Walk. Or you can become a sponsor of someone who is walking in the CROP Walk. Please call 717- 830-2646 for more information.

X Card Shoots Fulton County Rifle and Pistol Club X-card shoots begin until November 20 and start at 7:00 p.m. Ten chances to shoot for $10 at an X card. First place is a turkey or ham; second place bacon. The last round is $5 to win the $50 meat round.

Box Tops Carnival Fulton County Community Christian School will hold a Box Tops Carnival for Education Saturday, September 26, from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. There will be a food stand with hot dogs, steamers, nacho's, pizza, chips, soda, and more. Games will include Balloon Darts, Gold Fish, Ring Toss, Ducks, as well as a cake walk, car bash, and more. The community is invited to bring their box tops for a fun afternoon of food and games.
