Thanks Medical Center Happy Days Committee

To The Editor:

On Sunday, September 13, Grandparents Day, the Fulton County Medical Center Happy Days Committee hosted a picnic for long-term care residents and their families. Thirteen residents, along with about 100 family members, friends and Fulton County Medical Center staff, enjoyed a delicious picnic in the scenic mountain setting of Cowans Gap State Park. Long-term care residents spent an enjoyable afternoon visiting with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On behalf of the residents and their families, we would like to thank the hospital employees who planned this picnic and gave of their time on a Sunday afternoon, making it possible for everyone to have a great time. Everyone we talked to thought it was a huge success. My Mom, a long-term care resident, said she had a really, really great afternoon.

The Happy Days Committee and the activities department along with the FCMC Ladies Auxiliary, plan many activities throughout the year for the longterm care residents, striving to keep them busy and involved within the community. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for thinking of our loved ones and filling their days with such enjoyable things to do.
