Pa. Woman Accused Of Conspiring To Kill Husband
BELLEFONTE, Pa. (AP) - A central Pennsylvania woman has been charged with conspiring with another man to kill her husband.
Twenty-seven-year-old Mirinda Boob is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in the Aug. 23 death of 29-year-old Samuel Boob, the father of four small children ranging from six months to 10 years old.
Mirinda Boob was ordered held on $2 million bail Friday, only hours before a scheduled memorial service for her husband.
Twenty-nine-year-old Ronald Lee Heichel, of Bellefonte, is accused of shooting Samuel Boob in the victim's Centre Hall garage. He is charged with firstdegree murder.
Mirinda Boob's attorney, Ed Blanarik, declined comment on the charges but said he was shocked at the bail amount, which was twice what prosecutors had requested. Heichel's attorney, public defender Casey McClain, said Heichel is shocked that the woman would blame the shooting on him.
Police say text messages linked the two suspects, and they accuse Mirinda Boob of providing Heichel with "specific information'' about the whereabouts of her husband.
