Praise For Hospital, Medical Staff
To The Editor:
I would like to say a word about the care my mother received at Fulton County Medical Center. Too many times only the negative is printed. This time, I want it to be the positive.
I want to commend the staff at the emergency room when Mom was brought in by ambulance. She was taken into a room and right away a nurse started to examine her. A very short time later, she was taken to X-ray. Within a very short time, she was admitted to acute care.
As soon as she was in her room, the nurses started doing everything to make her comfortable as she was in a lot of pain. A few days later, tests revealed she had colon cancer, and at 97 years of age she said she did not want surgery.
Several days later hospice came in and she was moved to long-term care. During her stay there she had the best care. Those nurses are absolutely the best. They couldn't do enough for Mom or us when I or other family members stayed at night. They did everything for our comfort.
When it came time for us to say goodbye to Mom, they were there to comfort us as best they could.
I just want to give credit where credit is due. They are the best.
