Responses To Letter To The Editor Didn't Disappoint
To The Editor:
After reading Mr. Keebaugh's rambling, but obviously tonguein cheek letter in the August 20 edition, I wondered how many "people" would take the bait and respond.
The dynamic duo did not disappoint. I was especially fascinated by Mr. Land's letter in the August 29 edition. In it, he seems to place more value in his service in the Air Force than in Mr. Keebaugh's service as a teacher, as if that had anything to do with Mr. Keebaugh's point anyhow. He also goes on to personally attack Mr. Keebaugh by implying that Mr. Keebaugh was/is a draft dodger, as if that had anything to do with Mr. Keebaugh's point anyhow. I suppose I could use the same reasoning to suggest that 20 years in the Air Force has the same effect on one's brain as 10 minutes without oxygen. Maybe it's not "furiners" that should be escorted to the county line, just idiots.
