Faye F. Fogal
Faye F. Fogal, 95, Chambersburg, died at 7:10 p.m., Thurday, August 20, 2009, in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born May 12, 1914, in Fulton County, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Rosa Deshong Mellott.
She was a 1933 graduate of the former Green Hill High School in Fulton County and later owned and operated the former Fogal's Grocery in New Franklin, retiring in June of 1974.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, where she was active with the Columbian Ladies. She enjoyed playing cards.
Her beloved husband, Edward F. Fogal, whom she married May 1, 1938, preceded her in death in February of 1966.
Surviving are a son, William E. Fogal, Chambersburg; a sister, Rosella S. Souders, Big Cove Tannery; a sister-in-law, Ida Marie Fogal, Fort Pierce, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three infant daughters: Helen L. Fogal in 1938; Dorothy A. Fogal in 1939; and Rosalee E. Fogal in 1945; two brothers and four sisters.
A Mass of Chrsitian Burial was held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg. Rev. Keith M. Carroll officiated. Burial was made in Corpus Christi Cemetery.
Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, was in charge of arrangements.
