Richard I. Wright, 83, Lancaster, Pa., died Thursday, August 20, 2009, at this home.
He is survived by two daughters: Lori Wright of Lititz and Mitzi Wright of Akron, Pa.; one granddaughter, Isabella; two brothers: Robert and William Wright, both of Chambersburg; and two sisters: Doris Gluck of Mercersburg and Donna Statler, Chambersburg.
Two brothers, Edwin Wright and Rex Wright, preceded him in death.
He worked for Windbrow and Elixir companies in the production of metal roofing.
A veteran of World War II, serving with the Army Air Corps training to be a bomber crewman in Europe, he was a life member of VFW Post 655 and American Legion Post 561, Mc- Connellsburg.
He liked NASCAR, was an avid football fan, especially Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers, and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Center United Methodist Church, with Pastor Betty Secrest and Rev. Paul Crawford Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Center Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Lititz, Pa., and the M. R. Brown Funeral Home, Hustontown, Pa.
The Fulton Honor Guard will provide military honors at the cemetery.
