Cowans Gap Activities

The Pennsylvania Departmentof Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of State Parks, and Cowans Gap State Park would like to announce the following activities at Cowans Gap:

September 4 - 7:30 p.m.: CCC History. Discover what life was like for the boys of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)! Check out some 1930s footage of camps in action in this video presentation at the Brightbill Interpretive Center.

September 5 - 9:00 a.m.: Nature Photography Series: Scenic Photography. Natural scenery can be awe-inspiring. However, often pictures do not do justice to the scene itself. Learn some techniques that you can use to come closer to preserving the inspiration from natural scenes. Meet at the Amphitheater; 8:00 p.m.: movie night. Enjoy a nature movie suitable for all ages on the big screen at the park amphitheater!
