Oil 150 Parade Could Draw 20,000 To Tiny Pa. Town

TITUSVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Organizers of a festival celebrating the birth of the nation's oil industry expect the tiny city of Titusville to be overrun by spectators for a parade on Aug. 29.

Titusville has a population of 6,000, but Oil 150 organizers expect about 20,000 people to attend the parade along a 1.7-mile route through the city.

The Oil 150 celebration commemorates the 150th anniversary of the nation's oil industry, which began on Aug. 27, 1859.
