Locks of Love hair donations are turned into natural-looking wigs for children who are undergoing chemotherapy, suffering from alopecia areata or recuperating from scalp burns. Several nonprofit groups are working with volunteers to make wigs for financially disadvantaged children. A minimum of 10 inches of hair must be donated.
