Get well wishes to Michelle Senft, John Wain, Tommy Nesbitt, Dick Rhoades, Mary Mort, Bob Hoffman and Neva Fleming.

Merill Houck is a patient in the ICU at Chambersburg Hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Our sympathy is extended to the family of Grover Mellott of McConnellsburg.

Walnut Grove Church members traveled to Hershey last Friday evening for dinner and the Joyce Meyer Ministries program at the Giant Center. The evening was not complete without a stop at Wal-Mart and Sheetz on the way home. Those making the trip were Libby Barton, Sue Fleming, Judy and Melanie Myers, Betty Ramsey, and Gail and DJ Stains.

On Sunday the Walnut Grove Sr. Youth Group made a stop at Cracker Barrel for breakfast and then traveled on to Six Flags America for the day. With a few minor glitches, a good time was had by all. Enjoying the day was Dustin Barr, Joey Pine, Dane Martz, Matt Rhoades, Dezaray Swope, Kevin, Lynette and Brianne Fleck, and Joe, Melanie, Cody and Dison Myers.

Nearly 40 folks from Immanuel Bible Church enjoyed a safari trip to Lake Tobias on Sunday afternoon. Everyone had a great time despite the hottest weather of the season.

Dan and Brenda Williams recently enjoyed a trip to Wellsboro to sightsee and visit the Little Grand Canyon for their anniversary on August 8. While there, they were able to take some great pictures of an American eagle in the wild.

On Saturday, Brenda Williams, Donna Park, Michele Stains and Madasyn Krepps enjoyed the festivities in Rockhill and enjoyed a ride on the train.

Future activities at the Clear Ridge Community Building include a yard sale on September 4. The ladies and gentlemen will have pies and sandwiches for sale. If you wish to place an order for pies, please call 717-658-7918 and leave message of name, flavor and quantity. The next festival is scheduled for Sept 17 beginning at 4 p.m. A pie and soup sale is scheduled for October 29.

Visiting this week with the Steve and Karen Grissinger family were Dusty, Sandy and Heath Hilbert, Donna Locke, Brent Carlson, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Amanda Yocum, and Jim, Lori, Brenden, Holden and Camden Lupey.

On Monday, Brian, Emily and Micah Ramsey and Chad Ramsey visited with Roger and Pat Ramsey.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. will be hosting a special bingo on Sunday, August 23, beginning at 1 p.m. The kitchen will open at 11 a.m.

Open stage will be held at the firehall on August 22 beginning at 6 p.m. The kitchen will open at 5 p.m.

The Aughwick Band performed at the Fulton County Fair queen event on Sunday evening in McConnellsburg.

A benefit auction will be held on Sunday, August 30, at 2 p.m. at the old high school gymnasium (alumni association gym) in Mc- Connellsburg for Tommy Nesbitt of McConnellsburg.
