Work Completed On Economic Recovery Project In Fulton County

PennDOT District 9 announced last Thursday that the Route 30 resurfacing project in Brush Creek Township, Fulton County, that was financed with federal funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) has been completed more than two months ahead of schedule.

Work has concluded on the $589,408 contract to upgrade guiderail and drainage along with a bituminous overlay along with the replacement of a truck warning sign on Route 16. The project length was 2.5 miles and ran from the Bedford County line to the Fulton County truck pulloff. This project was scheduled for an October 21, 2009, completion date.

Within District 9's six-counties, PennDOT will invest more than $47 million of federal economic recovery funds on 17 transportation projects, which include road and bridge improvements and traffic signal upgrades.
