TSHC, FCMC To Team Up At County Fair

Will provide various health screenings

Tri-State Community Health Center and Fulton County Medical Center will team up at the 89th annual Fulton County Fair to celebrate "America's Health Centers: Where Access and Quality Care Begin" in honor of National Health Center Week. They are proud to provide affordable, high-quality services to everyone regardless of their ability to pay. This year at the fair they will focus on special populations: children, elderly and our farm workers.

Both healthcare agencies invite you to visit their "Hospitality Tent" where they will provide various screenings, including blood pressure, BMI and pulse oxygen, as well as educational topics geared toward prevention.

The schedule of events for the week includes the following:

Tuesday, August 18: Celebrate The Children from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Meet and greet TSCHC pediatrician Dr. Williams. Free balloons, sunglasses, visors, tattoos and much more.

Personal hand sanitizers, bug spray, sunscreen and a coolingoff station provided.

Free screenings throughout the week include blood pressure, pulse ox and BMI.

Wednesday, August 19: Celebrate The Farm Workers from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Free education and literature. Personal hand sanitizers, bug spray, sun screen and a cooling-off station provided.

Thursday, August 20: Celebrate Senior Citizens from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Free insurance and medication cardholders, information on TSCHC slide discount program and FCMC financial assistance policy explanation of benefits - staff member on hand to help you understand your insurance explanation and bill.

Personal hand sanitizers, bug spray, sunscreen and a coolingoff station provided.
