FCMC Announces C.A.M.P. Campaign
The FCMC Foundation is honored to announce the C.A.M.P. Campaign to continue the life work of James E. Camp and his mission to provide healthcare in Africa. Jim was a nurse anesthetist with Fulton County Medical Center for 19 years. His sudden passing this past winter was a shock to his family, the FCMC family and all of those whose lives he touched.
There were many things about this kind-hearted, gentle and calming nurse anesthetist that many did not know. Jim's valiant efforts in Africa allowed students to study and become nurses through his personal financing of their scholarships. Equipment could be maintained thanks to his partial funding of a medical equipment technician, and he orchestrated the acquisition of much-needed medical equipment and supplies and arranged delivery to Africa.
FCMC will celebrate Jim's legacy on Friday, August 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Activities for the day include: 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m., FCMC main lobby - meet Jim's family and learn about Jim's work in Africa; noon to 1:00 p.m. - lunch to learn - FCMC resident dining room - presentation by Jim's family on his work in Africa; 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 - display in lobby continues.
Donations can be made to the FCMC Foundation, Attn: C.A.M.P Campaign and mailed to 214 Peach Orchard Road, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
