MELLOTT

Wow! Burnt Cabins knows how to celebrate a birthday. On Sunday, July 12, my birthday was special with my friends present at the civic building and "the surrey with a fringe on top" pulled by a team of Belgian horses "Buster" and "Pete," owned by Carl Kling. We enjoyed riding in the surrey. What beautiful horses!

Then Bob Snyder of Mc- Connellsburg presented me with a membership in the Alumni Association. I am the oldest living graduate of McConnellsburg High School. Thank you, Bob.

Myrt Mathern was there. She is 97 years old, and she celebrated her birthday by flying to Texas to visit relations. You are something else, Myrt! More power to you!

I want to thank everyone for the beautiful cards - 117! Wow! I thank you for the food, flowers, phone calls, the beautiful cake - thanks to Sherry. And thank you for being there. Thanks for the loving hands that prepared the party.

God is so good to me, to give me 98 years. I am blessed. God bless you all and keep you in His care. I love you all.

Mildred Peterson Mellott.
