Sheldon S. Rouzer
Sheldon S. Rouzer, 76, formerly of Osterburg, died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Chambersburg Hospital.
He was born April 15, 1932, in Lovely, Pa., a son of the late Ord E. and Dora L. (Harr) Rouzer. He married Doreen Feathers on August 9, 1953.
Surviving are his wife of Waynesboro; daughters: Kathy Baker, Caneysville, Ky., and Dawn Moats, Waynesboro; son Stanley Thomas Rouzer, Waynesboro; nine grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; sisters: Doris Knisely, Claysburg; Elaine Harr, Greencastle; Dororthy Souse, Plattsburg, N.Y.; Janet Appleby, Fort Loudon; Rhoda Christopher, Athens, Ala.; Helen Carbaugh, Mercersburg; Carol Barnes, Williamson; brothers: Wiliam Rouzer, Harrisonville and Samuel Rouzer, Greencastle; a great number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dora A. Ray; an infant son, grandson, great-granddaughter, sisters: Darlene Weyant and Debbie Rouzer, and a brother, Alan Rouzer.
He was an Army veteran of Korea.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. Pastor Elsie Gonsman will officiate. Burial will be made in Pavia Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
