Thomas W. Rhoat
Thomas W. "Tom" Rhoat, 55, Three Springs, died at 11:55 a.m., Sunday, July 19, 2009, at his home.
Born May 23, 1954, in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Carl Julian and Veda E. (Hess) Rhoat. He was united in marriage to the former Mildred "Sissy" Nicholas May 17, 1984, in Broad Top City. She survives at home.
He is also survived by a son and daughter, Michael S. Rhoat and wife Beth Ann (Brocht), Cassville; and Christina A. (Eddy) Blizzard, Delaware; and five grandchildren: Brock M. Rhoat, Cole M. Rhoat, Tyler N. Eddy, Jayson L. Blizzard Jr. and Caitlin M. Blizzard; three brothers: John Rhoat, Timothy "Tim" Rhoat and wife Kimberly; Jeffery "Jeff" Rhoat and wife Jamie.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister, Richard "Dick" Rhoat and Kathy E. Cross.
He was a member of International Order of Odd Fellows, Waterfall.
He attended Tussey Mountain High School.
He worked for T.C. Lloyd Construction and Electrical Co. until 1990.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors and will be remembered by his family and friends for his willingness to help others and for being a great guy.
Memorial services were held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 24, at Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City. Pastor Kenneth Cornelius officiated.
