The McConnellsburg girls soccer team held their soccer camp at the Lions Club field last week under the instruction of Roger Bernecker of Chambersburg, along with their coach, Toby McGarvey. A total of 18 players participated.

Sympathy goes out to the families of Gladys Ramsey and Catherine Palmer who passed away last week.

Congratulations to Jeremy Culler and Jenny Gress on their marriage on July 18 in Gettysburg.

Specialist Anthony Hughes, son of Vincent and Lisa Hughes, is home on a two-week furlough from Iraq, visiting his parents and other relatives. He will return to Iraq at the end of his leave.

Pastor John Godissart and son Joel, Larry and Kelly Cordell, Vickie Gordon, Susan Keebaugh and Jodi Hann spent last week in Huntingdon at the Green Hills Special Needs Adult Camp, assisting the adults.

McConnellsburg Class of 1974 held their 35th reunion on Saturday at Great Cove Golf Clubhouse with 63 classmates and guests present.

Ben and Suzanne Walker Doyle and children Timothy and Karrie of Charlottesville, Va., visited with relatives in the area last week.

Jenn Eckert and daughters Katrina and Kallie, and Mariah Truax attended the Heartland Bible Methodist Youth Camp in Mendon, Ohio, last week.

Gary and Trudy Morton and Jill Doyle vacationed in Ocean City, Md., last week.

Tobias McGarvey celebrated his third birthday with his friends at the Fulton County Daycare Center on his birthday, Monday, July 29, with a cake, along with his mother Dena and sisters Tessa and Hannah.

Dick and Esther Miller of Crossroads and Lee and Mary Jane Teeters of Chambersburg enjoyed a day in Hersheypark on Tuesday.

Jack Buterbaugh was admitted to Fulton County Medical Center and his wife, Helen, was admitted to Chambersburg Hospital last week.

The families of William and Daisy Seiders held a picnic at the home of Donald Kerlin recently. Five families attended from Colorado, several from Maryland with a total of 52 family members present.
