Pa. Woman Electrocuted After Falling Onto Tracks
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Officials say a woman was electrocuted when she fell into the third rail of a subway line in North Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia Inquirer says 32-year-old Selena M. Petty was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday afternoon by staff from the medical examiner's office.
It says the Germantown woman apparently was on a southbound SEPTA train when she exited and then staggered to the northbound side where she fell onto the tracks.
SEPTA spokeswoman Jerri Williams says service was stopped for about 90 minutes.
