Celebrates 60th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. James Deneen Mr. and Mrs. James Deneen James and Vivian Deneen of 4177 Coseytown Road, Greencastle, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Jim is the son of the late John and Alberta Miller Deneen. Vivian is the daughter of the late Blair and Jessie Garland Mellott.

They are the parents of four children, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren: Dale, married to Lois Barnhart, lives in Needmore and their son, Seth, married to Tracey Schriver, lives in Williamsport with their son, Julian; Linda, married to David Dombrowsky, lives in Greencastle. Their daughters: Kristene, married to Jerry Mulka, lives in Greencastle with their two sons: JD and Noah, and Rachel lives in Greencastle with her two sons, Briar and Levi; Jimmy and his companion, Terry, live in Michigan and Lisa, married to Jamie Szaflarski, lives in Greencastle, with their two sons: Jace and Jarek.

Jim worked at Letterkenny Army Depot and for Marriott Corp. and currently works for U.S. Security Services. He spent many years volunteering with the Needmore Boy Scouts and Needmore Vacation Bible School.

Vivian worked at Sagner and Howard Johnson's and now enjoys being a homemaker and grandma. She is well known for her talent crocheting doilies as well as her beautiful flowerbeds.

Jim and Vivian have lived in a number of Pennsylvania communities over the past 60 years, including Needmore, Chambersburg, Centerville, Washingtonville and now make their home in Greencastle.

The couple requested not to have a celebration, but they would enjoy well wishes from friends and family.
