The weekend weather was just beautiful. According to the amount of traffic, lots of folks were out enjoying it.

Our prayers and recovery wishes go out to Liberty Crouse, who is fighting cancer.

Hustontown Area Volunteer Fire Co. would like to say a big thank you to everyone who brought their treasured classic vehicles to the show and to everyone else who came out and helped to make the car show cruise-in a big success on Saturday.

Hustontown Fire Co. will sponsor an open stage on Saturday, July 25, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The kitchen opens at 5:00 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come share your talent or just come out and enjoy the evening. Admission is free and the building is air-conditioned and smokefree. A good place to go for supper with an evening of entertainment and also support the fire company.

Our sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Rhea Brown, formely Rhea Funk from this area.

Our sympathy is also extended to the family and relatives of Gladys Ramsey, who passed away on Sunday.
