Two Firms To Bring 185 Jobs To Western Pa.
ALTOONA, Pa. (AP) - Gov. Ed Rendell says two new firms will be bringing 185 jobs to western Pennsylvania's Blair County over the next few years.
Rendell says Diversapack LLC, which makes flexible packaging films, will bring about 150 jobs to Snyder Township, while secondary aluminum recycler Advanced Metal Processing LLC will bring another 35 jobs to Hollidaysburg.
Diversapack, headquartered in Atlanta, has nine manufacturing locations in the United States. William Wachtel, a member of the ownership group, says the operation should begin by mid-August.
Advanced Metal Processing specializes in the supply of high quality scrap metal to the secondary industry. President and CEO Keith Martin says the firm will bring "green jobs'' that will be there for a long time.
