Sympathy to the family and relatives of Bernadine Mills who passed away Tuesday morning.

Anniversary wishes to Kevin and Chanin Mountz.

Get well wishes to George Cook, Neva Fleming, Kay Anderson, Emma Stains, Gene Cornelius, Gail Stains, Wayne and Mary Mort, and Cloyd Stains.

Our sympathy is extended to Deb Thomas Kerlin on the unexpected loss of her husband, Harry Kerlin, last week. Harry will be missed by so many who relied on his heavy equipment expertise and his willingness to help anyone. Our thoughts are also with Mrs. T, who will miss her son-in-law.

On Saturday, June 27, a retirement party to honor Linda Stains Myers was held at the home of Althea Stains. June birthdays were celebrated for Linda Myers, Scott Truax, Tony Shives, Wendy, Chloe and Aurora Lake, Alexandra Smith, Macy and Clay Patterson, and twins Elexis and Olivia Brown.

Others attending the celebration were John and Charlotte Hodge, Jack Myers, Jon and Cathy Harding, Mahlon and Jody Shimer and granddaughter Nevaeh, Curt, Amy and Hilary Patterson, Cory Hearn, Darryl, Katie and Bunny Patterson and Wade, Dorothy, Eric, Nathan and Delaney Patterson.

Also attending were Gerald and Rita Sipes, Dana, Zachary, Jesse and Alexandria Smith, Cory Lake, Neil and Kim Brown, Seleen and Bodie Shives, and Cara and Sylas Truax.

Special guests included Judy Tyson of Fort Littleton, Laverne Brown of Hustontown and Junior and Reba Campbell and Paul and Wynette Laws of Chambersburg. Hostess was Althea Stains who is mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother to her family. She enjoys her 13 grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren and three greatgreat grandchildren.

Steve and Karen Grissinger attended a picnic at the home of Travis, Tawnya and Tristen Hall on Saturday evening. The Halls hosted the picnic for more than 50 family members and friends.

Immanuel Bible Church will hold its service on Sunday, July 12, at Cowan's Gap State Park in Pavilion No. 2.

The annual Fraker family reunion will be held on Sunday, July 12 at the picnic area near the homes of Ken and Daphne Fraker and Lois Stevens.

Visiting with Steve, Karen, Terri and Tammy Grissinger this week were Donna Locke, Tawnya and Tristen Hall, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Ramon Martin and Travis Madden.

The Clear Ridge ladies and gents will be holding a festival on July 23. > The menu for this festival will be ham dinners, home-made pies and ice cream.

Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co. will be having an antique car show at the fire hall on July 18.

Neva Fleming has been a patient at Fulton County Medical Center and in Harrisburg Hospital. She is now recovering at home.

Get well wishes to George Cook, who is a patient in the Harrisburg Hospital. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Our sympathy and prayers go to Esther Grissinger and family on the sudden and unexpected passing of her son, Harold "Mooch" Grissinger. Mooch had a kind heart for anyone and sure loved his little nieces and nephews. Our prayers are with everyone.

Ben Souders held a picnic on Sunday evening at the Lonesome Dove picnic area in memory and honor of his friends who lost their lives four years ago in Afghanistan. Attending the picnic were Buck and Bernadine Mills, John and Dorie Mills, Jim and Eunice Hawbaker, Chalmer and Patsy Mellott, Ken and Daphne Fraker, Barb Frehn, Joe Eaton, George and Ruth Riley and granddaughters Richie and Sissy Mitchell, Pam, Nicky and Ashylynne Cornelius, and George and Carol Engstrom. Also attending were Wayne and Mary Mort, Paul and Susie Schmidt, Mike and Teresa Souders, Wayne and Dawn Lapp, Tom, Sherri, Michael and Zack Fleck, Corey Hearn and Hilary Patterson, Andy, Terry and Shawn Mills, and George Locke.
