Ice Cream Festivals Fairview United Methodist Church will hold ice cream festivals this year on July 18 and September 12. The church is located four miles north of Hustontown on North Hess Road. Homemade ice cream, soups, sandwiches, french fries and desserts will be for sale. The festivals will begin at 4:00 p.m. All are welcome.
Ice Cream Social An ice cream social will be held at the courthouse lawn July 11 at 6:00 p.m. Free food and games available from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Homemade ice cream and soda will be sold with proceeds going to the United Methodist Church of McConnellsburg. Appearing will be Re-Creation.
Chicken & Ribs Fulton County Democratic Club will hold a chicken and ribs meal on Friday, July 17, at 11:00 a.m., at McConnellsburg Firehall. Eatin or takeouts available. All are welcome.
Ham Dinner A ham dinner will be held at Clear Ridge Community Building Thursday, July 23, at 4:00 p.m. Sandwiches, pies and ice cream will also be available.
Wells Tannery Homecoming The Wells Tannery homecoming, scheduled for July 25 has been cancelled for this year.
Festival A festival will be held Saturday, July 11, at Warren Township Community Grounds located near Mercersburg on Route 456. Homemade soup, sandwiches, ice cream and baked goods good will be available starting at 4:00 p.m. Music will be by Stoney Creek Bluegrass Band from West Virginia. All are welcome.
Ice Cream Festival An ice cream festival will be held at Center United Methodist Community Building, July 11, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Turkey or ham dinners with mashed potatoes, filling, choice of beans or corn, choice of applesauce or coleslaw and noncarbonated drinks will be available along with sandwiches, soup, pie, cake, soft drinks and homemade ice cream. All are welcome.
Festival A bluegrass/gospel music festival will be held at Bedford Chapel Church on Rt. 643, 4570 Flickerville Road, Warfordsburg, July 18 from 4:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Food stand and cake walks. Entertainment provided by Richard and Mary Fox with Higher Ground, Guildford Station and Driven for HIM Gospel Singers. Bring lawnchairs.
Ag Appreciation Picnic Several Fulton County organizations will be sponsoring an Ag Appreciation picnic on Sunday, July 12, beginning at 1:00 p.m., at the American Legion picnic grounds just north of Mc- Connellsburg. This picnic will take the place of the annual Farm Bureau picnic and the Farm City or Tri Ag banquet. Pork, rolls, place settings and beverages will be provided. Please bring a covered dish to share with the group. RSVP is greatly appreciated by Monday, July 6. Everyone is invited.
