Violet E. Bottenfield
Violet E. Bottenfield, 84, Crystal Spring, previously of McLean, Va., died Thursday, June 18, 2009, in Bedford.
She was born May 24, 1925, in Alabama, a daughter of the late Thomas G. Edmondson and Emma Pike Edmondson.
She married Richard J. Bottenfield on May 16, 1959, and they resided in McLean until returning to Crystal Spring in December of 2004. He passed away on June 14, 2008.
She is survived by two sons: Joe Bottenfield, and wife Diane, Cumming, Ga.; David Bottenfield, Manassas, Va.; a granddaughter, Lauren; two grandsons: Michael and Kyle; and four sisters: Ruby E. Smith, and husband Baxter, Arlington, Va.; Eunice E. Justice, Columbiana, Ala.; Juanita Sites, and husband Edward, Dunedin, Fla.; and Ellie Brooks, and husband Murray, Westland, Mich.
She was a career employee with the federal government in Washington, D.C., until her retirement.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 24, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Everett. Pastor George Clippinger officiated. Burial was made in Union Memorial Cemetery.
