Hustontown

By Kate Berkstresser

The weather has been great, but we could enjoy some rain.

Our sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Valeria Nolan, who was the mother of Fredith Nolan.

Also, sympathy to the family and relatives of Wilbert Keefer and Harry R. Brant.

Happy birthday wishes to Katherin Berkstresser, July 1; Heidi Peck, July 2; Harvey Berkstresser, Douglas Martz and Maynard Black, July 4.

A nice crowd has been attending the auctions at the building across from Freedom Worship Center on Rt. 522 on Thursday evenings.

Sorry to hear Bill Henry isn't improving as well as we would like to hear. Also, Charles Shotts is still not progressinge as well. We send get well wishes their way.

Belated congratulations to Paula and Ruth Byers, who celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 6. We send wishes for many more happy years.

Pastor Bill and Joan Kuhn were back for Sunday services after a couple weeks vacation.

Household hint: A produce wash box. Make washing fruits and vegetables from the garden easier by spraying them outdoors with the garden hose in a mesh box. Make the box in any dimension with 1x4s then staple wire mesh on the bottom. Lay your produce on screen and hose it down.
