We had a beautiful weekend that made it nice for the drivers of military vehicles recreating a

1919 crosscountry It started on Constitution Avenue in Washington, D.C. Plans were to have lunch in Bedford on Saturday. They plan to make the trip in 26 days by traveling four days then one day rest.

Our sympathy is extended to the family and relatives of Robert Leonard, who passed away on Saturday.

A surprise 50th anniversary party was held in honor of Morris and Charlotte Crouse on Sunday at Hustontown Firehall. A nice crowd attended.

Sorry to hear Betty Shotts became ill on Sunday while at church and was taken to Chambersburg Hospital. We send get well wishes her way.

Everyone enjoyed having Craig Knepper as guest speaker at Knobsville and Fairview United Methodist churches on Sunday while Pastor Bill was still out for vacation.

Katherin Berkstresser spent last week at Camp Cadet.

Shawn and Jackie Berkstresser and family of Slippery Rock spent Sunday at his mother's family reunion.

Household hint: A good way to kill grass or weeds growing between sections of cement walk - douse with boiling salt water. Also patches of poison can be destroyed by using boiling water.
