Bear, 2 Cubs Rescued From Tree In Pa. Town

ARCHBALD, Pa. (AP) - A bear and her two cubs are now safe after being stuck in a tree in a northeastern Pennsylvania town.

Firefighters arrived on the scene in Archbald on Thursday morning and eventually called in a utility company bucket truck. A Pennsylvania Game Commission officer tranquilized her and she was lowered to the ground. After that, they got the cubs to safety.

Archbald is in Lackawanna County, a little more than 100 miles north-northwest of Philadelphia.
