Anniversary wishes to Tom and Stephanie Glunt, Joe and Kristen Diehl, and Mike and Teresa Souders.

Get well wishes to Gail Stains, Wayne and Mary Mort, Cloyd Stains, Emma Stains, and Sonny Cutshall.

An all-you-can-eat ham potpie dinner will be held on June 13 from 4 p.m. to 7 pm at Orbisonia United Methodist Church Outreach Center. The cost is $9 and $6.50 for takeouts. Doors will open at 4 p.m. There will also be a public bake sale (and sugarfree baked goods) available during the dinner. The meal benefits the Amanda Yocum Miracle Fund.

Walnut Grove Church of God held its annual Mother's and Father's Day chicken barbecue sponsored by the senior youth group following worship service on Sunday. A delicious meal was enjoyed by many.

A bridal shower was held for Kristi Streightiff last Sunday at Immanuel Bible Church. The big day is June 27 at Raystown Lake.

Visiting with Steve, Karen, Terri and Tammy Grissinger this week were Brent Carlson, Tom and Mamie Streightiff, Ramon Martin, Kenny and Marie Waite and niece Kylee, and Bob and Alicia Albrecht.

Steve and Karen Grissinger visited with Tom and Susie Taylor on Saturday evening.

Pat Ramsey attended a baby shower on Saturday in Newburg for Brian and Emily Ramsey.

Congratulations to Logan Fraker, son of Brian and Tammy Fraker, on his recent high school graduation.

Immanuel Bible Church held its annual graduation meal on Sunday following services. High school graduates honored were Jordan Edgin, daughter of Greg and Cindy Edgin, and Heather Hilbert, daughter of Dusty and Sandy Hilbert.

The Clear Ridge ladies and gents will be holding a festival on June 25. >The menu will be turkey dinners, homemade pies and ice cream.

Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co. will be having an antique car show at the firehall on July 18. More details about the event will be coming.

Three Springs Fire Co. will be having a chicken barbecue on Sunday, June 28, beginning at 11 a.m.

The annual Maddensville Schoolhouse reunion is scheduled for June 20 beginning at noon at the schoolhouse. Please bring a covered dish, lawn chairs and beverage. Place settings will be provided.
