Delta Starts Pittsburgh- To-Paris Nonstop Service
PITTSBURGH (AP) - A plane taking off from Pittsburgh has inaugurated a new nonstop service between western Pennsylvania and Paris, France.
The Wednesday night flight launched the Delta Air Lines service that will operate every day except Tuesdays and Fridays.
Pittsburgh-to-Paris flights will depart at 6:15 p.m. and arrive in Paris at 8:20 a.m. With a six-hour time difference between the cities, Paris-to-Pittsburgh flights depart at 10:40 a.m. and arrive at 1:55 p.m.
A celebration that had been planned Wednesday night at the Pittsburgh International Airport was called off, in deference to the Air France flight that disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday.
