He was born in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., on June 19, 1951, the son of the late Marvin Cletus and Esther Blanche (Wagner) Plessinger.
He was a truck driver, operator and foreman at P&W Excavating in McConnellsburg for 38 years.
He is survived by three daughters: Odette (Plessinger) Sheffield, Harrisonville; Billie Jo Souders (Plessinger), Waterfall; Brandy (Plessinger) Lewis, Harrisonville; former wife Marsha Mellott, Harrisonville; four sisters: Erma Gordon, Warfordsburg; Marian Wertz, Warfordsburg; Mary Wilson, Gettysburg; Barbara Hopkins, McConnellsburg; three brothers: Frank Plessinger, McConnellsburg; Russ Plessinger, Warfordsburg; Howard Plessinger, Phillipsburg, Pa.; nine grandchildren: Alexis, Michaela, Olivia, Mersedez, Paige, Justice, Obadiah, Caleb and Cohen; eight nieces and six nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by halfsister Martha Frazier and brother Fred Plessinger.
Religious services were held at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, Warfordsburg, at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009. Rev. Denver Plessinger officiated. Interment was at Pleasant Grove Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg.
