Senior Raises Funds Through Bingo

Forbes Road School District senior Ashley Keck (center) recently presented Pennsylvania State Police Trooper David McGarvey (left) with a check iFOR $3,430, which has been specially earmarked for use in the Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) program, as well as a second program entitled "Safety Bug." The money were raised through a Longaberger basket bingo held April 19 at Mc- Connellsburg Firehall, with help from Longaberger consultant Tami Ulsh. The bingo was chosen and approved as Ashley's senior pro-ject after she attended a similar event last August that benefited a cancer victim. Seeing the final outcome of the bingo, Ashley, in turn, opted to raise money for an organization, such as SADD, that would directly benefit teenagers. Also pictured during the check presentation on May 12 was Forbes Road High School Principal Fred Foster.
