MHS To Hold Graduation June 4
Justin Levi Gordon is the class valedictorian. He is the son of Brent and Rita Gordon.
Justin has achieved the honor of being on all "A" honor roll 234 times. His activities include National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions, member of the track team, senior high and county chorus, 4- H Livestock Association and Fulton County Area Vocational Technical School's drafting and design program (president).
Justin works at Lincoln Way Pizza. He will be attending Penn State University majoring in landscape architecture and will be joining the Army ROTC. He plans to become a landscape architect and a commissioned officer in the United States Army. Jordan Elizabeth Bohrer, is the class salutatorian. She is the daughter of William Bohrer and Vicki Ott. She has been named to the all "A" honor roll 24 times. During high school, she was a member of the National Honor Society, yearbook, Teens Christian Club, volleyball, softball, basketball, track and field, and Students Against Destructive Decisions.
Outside of school, Jordan is involved in her youth group and volunteers at Fulton County Camp Cadet. She also works at Kendra's Kustard Kitchen. She plans on attending Juniata College to major in biology/pre-med.
Brittany Danielle Ott is the senior with the third highest scholastic average. She is the daughter of Mike Ott and Wendy Koontz. She was named to the all "A" honor roll 24 times. During high school, Brittany has been involved in the high school musicals, senior play, Students Against Destructive Decisions, chorus, district and county chorus, McConnellsburg High School Ensemble, volleyball, basketball, softball, Varsity club, and National Honor society. Outside of school she is very active with her church youth group. She plans to attend Shippensburg University to major in communications.
Courtney Rae McClure, daughter of Don and Kathy Mc- Clure, achieved the fourth highest scholastic ranking in the class. She was named to the all "A" honor roll 24 times.
Courtney is involved with her youth group along with many school activities, including Students Against Destructive Decisions, Teens Against Tobacco Use, Varsity Club, band, chorus and McConnellsburg High School Ensemble. She is president of the National Honor Society and class president. She also participated in varsity basketball, soccer, volleyball and track, along with the school musicals and senior play. She was also named the 2008 prom queen.
In the fall she will be attending Slippery Rock University to major in exercise science and physical therapy.
