Giant Foods Presents Checks To Area Schools


McConnellsburg Giant Foods presented checks totalling over $9,000 to five area schools on May 22 as part of its A-Plus Rewards program. The program lets shoppers register to have a percentage of their total grocery bill benefit a local school. The top five area schools receiving checks were McConnellsburg Elementary, $3,934.09; McConnellsburg Middle/High School, $2,232.68; Forbes Road Elementary, $1,911.76; Mercersburg Elementary, $1,109.15 and Forbes Road Junior/Senior High, $1,066.05.
