AVTS Inducts Twelve Into Honor Society
The Fulton County Area Vocational Technical School has inducted 12 seniors into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS). The NTHS is an organization committed to recognizing outstanding students for their career and technical education achievement.
Membership in the NTHS provides opportunities for scholarships, encourages higher scholastic achievement and develops self-esteem in students. NTHS was started in 1984 and charters thousands of member schools nationwide.
The NTHS membership is based on a minimum 3.0 grade point average, discipline records and attendance. The following students were inducted for meeting the entrance requirements:
Diversified Occupations: Chelsea Chesnut, Heather Divelbliss, Savanna Hege, Tia Keefer, Brittany Smith, Jamie Spade, Haley Strait, Olivia Strait, Ben Swadley, Caitlin Truax.
Drafting & Design: Theron Binder, Justin Copeland.
