License Plate Stolen
A Pennsylvania license plate registered as GSR9679 was stolen from in McConnellsburg Borough on Friday, May 8, at noon. The victim is a 39-year-old Mercersburg man. A 1999 Ford F-150 suffered several small dents on the tailgate and driver's side door while parked at 7879 Waterfall Road, Hustontown, between 11:30 p.m. on May 13 and 12:30 p.m. on May 20. Victim is a 40-year-old female, who estimates damage to her vehicle at $400. Man Jailed For Assault
Fifty-two-year-old Walter E. Branche of McConnellsburg was remanded to the Franklin County Prison in lieu of $10,000 straight bond in connection with an incident along Woodside Drive in Ayr Township. Branche allegedly argued with and assaulted a 44-year-old Mc- Connellsburg woman on Tuesday, May 19, at 11:57 p.m. Charges against Branche were filed through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.
State Police Issue Scam Reminder
Pennsylvania State Police, McConnellsburg, issued a telephone scam reminder over the weekend, reminding area residents never to reveal their personal or banking information to anyone who is not associated with their banking or financial institution. Recently, state police learned a local resident received a phone call stating they had won $500,000 from a lottery. The caller then requested banking information so the proceeds could be deposited into the individual's account.
Harassment Charges Filed
Charges of harassment have been filed through Magisterial District Judge Carol Jean Johnson in conjunction with an incident at Southern Fulton High School on May 21. At 8:30 a.m. 18-year-old Warfordsburg resident Frederick William Norris allegedly threatened to harm a 25- year-old woman, state police reported.
Prescription Pills Stolen
A prescription bottle containing approximately $355 in Xanax was stolen from the 211 Woodside Drive, McConnellsburg home of a 39-year-old man between 8 a.m. on May 16 and 6 p.m. on May 20. The home was reportedly entered with no apparent force, state police added. Man Cited For Slapping Woman
Forty-four-year-old David Aaron Burton of McConnellsburg will be charged with harassment as a result of an alleged altercation at an apartment at 120 South Second Street, Mc- Connellsburg. Burton, according to state police, argued with, slapped and pushed a 47-yearold woman at 3:21 a.m. Charges against Burton will be filed through Magisterial District Judge Wendy Mellott.
Drunken Man Found On Roadway
State police reported they found a Warfordsburg area man in an alleged intoxicated state lying on Bethel Church Road on May 20. Forty-two-year-old Roger Black will be charged with public drunkenness in connection with the 10:30 p.m. incident on the 2000 block of the Bethel Township roadway.
Man Cited For Public Drunkenness
Twenty-six-year-old McConnellsburg resident David Truax has been cited for public drunkenness as a result of an incident on the 500 block of Lincoln Way East in McConnellsburg Borough. Truax, according to state police, was observed allegedly staggering up the street while pushing a baby stroller carrying a three-week-old infant on Friday, May 22, at 8:25 p.m.
Virginia Woman Cited Following I-70 Crash
Twenty-nine-year-old Pamela L. Farrell of Colonial Beach, Va., was cited with driving on roadways laned for traffic following a single-vehicle crash along the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 on Saturday, May 23.
State police reported Farrell's 2001 Toyota Corolla travelled across both lanes before driving into an embankment at 9:35 a.m. Farrell was not injured and was wearing a seat belt. Her car was towed from the Brush Creek Township accident scene by Fischer's Towing.
Mischief Is Crime Of The Week
Fulton County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of individuals responsible for an act of criminal mischief along Waterfall Road.
According to state police, a 1999 Ford F-150 truck belonging to Vonetta Fogal of 7879 Waterfall Road, Waterfall, was struck numerous times on the tailgate and driver's side door on Wednesday, May 20. Damage has been estimated at $400.
Anyone having information concerning this crime is asked to contact Fulton County Crime Solvers by calling 717-485-5771. Anyone providing information leading to the arrest of a suspect is eligible to receive a reward of up to $1,000 but will not have to appear in court or provide their name. Crime Solvers will also pay for information leading to arrests in connection with any other crimes committed in Fulton County.
